It is a tight fit. I put masking tape in the area around the headlamp bucket as there is real danger a damaging the paint when installing the covers.

I noticed that one of the headlamps is thicker than the originals, perhaps this is preventing the cover from fitting correctly. As a test you may want to fit the cover without the headlamps. This would tell you if the lamps are the culprit. Also, make sure the buckets are all the way up. If the limit switch is not adjusted properly the buckets will stop before they are fully up. The bracket that holds the headlamp motor is also adjustable and will affect the headlamp up and down position.

The great majority of the Ghiblis I get need some work on the headlamps. Either they are not adjusted properly, too slow or don't work at all. I just received from MIE two new limit switches for the blue spyder as the headlamps worked whenever they felt like it; which translates to they worked during the day but not at night.

Thank you Ivan. As usual you were spot on. Took the headlights out and a perfect fit. After working slowly I was able to get everything back to normal. In your spare time you should write a "how to book" !!
