Help with unwanted spam on my website

    I reeeeally hope that somebody can help me with this....
    Lately I have some popup adds onmy website: www.sognidiferrar.com but I have never put them there!!!!
    But I do have a Webstats4you counter on it... and somebody told me that this was the reason!!! Can that really be ???

    Now (two minutes ago) I removed that counter! And I hope there are no more popups now!!!

    But is it like that with all counters???
    And can I find out if there are other reasons to the popups???

    webstats4u + popup returns these results in several languages I don't read and write. However, you may note a key word or phrase which offers hints about what to do & so forth.

    The only English Language result for "webstats4u" is the site itself, which I don't care to visit.

    I tried the website in 2 browsers and no popups in either one so I guess it was the webstats4u thing.
    http://www.sitemeter.com is a good free counter that hasn't given me any trouble.

    wax you searched "webstats4you" not "webstats4u". If you use the 2nd one then there are a few places where people talk about it in English :)

    Thanks!!!! :) I'm glad that it appears to be gone now!
    I just tried www.activemeter.com ... they say they don't use popups or similar... hope they are telling me the truth!! :D
    But yours looks good too :) maybe I should use that one instead.
