Steve, No specific step by step. It is a fiddley thing. I have no problem on my red 550 but my silver one was a pita to adjust. Also realize dried out rubber can be out of position too. The combo of good soft rubber and adjustment could be needed to achieve your goal.
Have you had the pivot pin updated by F1 Imports or someone else? If not, you probably won’t be able to adjust it enough to get it right.
The split arm in the system (split by the pivot pin referred to above) is most likely not straight anymore and must be straightened. Check threads on this subject, there are several. I replaced the arms with a home made solution that allows the split arm to be adjusted to the correct shape. Works fine, problem solved, and more durable than the original.
Well I seem to have adjusted to within spec by fiddling with many of the possible adjustments. I will check with F1 on updating the pin.
Note, this is usually a problem with 456/M and sometimes 550s, not so much on 575Ms. F1 Imports & Exotics 568 Industrial Blvd. Naples, Florida 34104 Tel. (239)430-2206 [email protected] http://www.f1imports.com
