Spray a little starter fluid into the air intake (then turn ignition key) to see if you have a fuel flow problem or a car alarm problem.

Little red light is out or blinking or solid on dash?

Buy yourself a $2 can of starter fluid to test for a fuel flow issue, then.

I remember something about needing to make sure that the doors are shut all the way, and that the engine cover is completely closed.

And double check your battery connections, especially the ground.

See, the alarm is working correctly (Ferrari defines a car alarm as a device with which to annoy owners, please insurance companies, and make thieves giggle).

    An alarm huh?!

After seeing that, I have my money on the alarm. Disconnect everything to the alarm and it wouldn't surprise me if it fires up.

The M5.2 alarms may send a code to the ecu to enable...might not get that if everything is disconnected.

we are giving up and sending the car to the ferrari shop

i doubt disconnecting the factory alarm would allow the car to start - think about it

best is get it plugged into an sd1 or sd2 and get some direction
