what do you have to do to start the car when you remove the battery>? cranks but doesnt start what do i have to check
Spray a little starter fluid into the air intake (then turn ignition key) to see if you have a fuel flow problem or a car alarm problem. Little red light is out or blinking or solid on dash?
I remember something about needing to make sure that the doors are shut all the way, and that the engine cover is completely closed.
we think its the siren battery box- we opened it and it looked fried so we are replacing tommorrow also the red light on dash stayed on. thanks all for the insight i thought i read on fchat something about replacing these.. so i will search further thanks again Special thanks to Robbie and Ferrari of Atlanta
replaced siren box alarms works correctly, disconnected battery for 15 mins, replace key fob battery now cranks wont start- no spark WTF
See, the alarm is working correctly (Ferrari defines a car alarm as a device with which to annoy owners, please insurance companies, and make thieves giggle).
An alarm huh?! After seeing that, I have my money on the alarm. Disconnect everything to the alarm and it wouldn't surprise me if it fires up.
The M5.2 alarms may send a code to the ecu to enable...might not get that if everything is disconnected.
we are giving up and sending the car to the ferrari shop i doubt disconnecting the factory alarm would allow the car to start - think about it best is get it plugged into an sd1 or sd2 and get some direction
