Please add any hints or tips if have any. (if a similair thread already exists, please add this to it)

I was looking through the post "Finally Got My 99 Diablo Roadster"(sweet ride) and noticed the wood planks on the ramp and figured I mention a tip I found to work flawless so far.

I was in jam transporting my car by myself once and couldn't watch the nose, planks, tires lined up, ect.. so thinking about it, I figured if I could raise the front of the trailer so the nose of the car would clear, I was home free.

What I did was use two or three, about three foot long planks(2x6/2x8) and stacked them on top of each other forming stairs, so to say. Push the bottom plank tight against the rear tires of the TOW vehicle, then backed up onto them, raising the rear of the tow vehicle and front of the trailer, thus dropping the rear of the trailer to a hieght low enough I could drive right into the trailer using only the rear door, no wooden bridges.

Its fast, no ramps to slide out or kick up, and I only have small pieces of wood to deal with, although I recommend having planks for the "you never knows"....Good Luck

PS. If anyone already knew this, Why didn't you say somthing!

Help the community out post any tips...hope this helps.

Place a plastic/rubber tarp over the engine block (a cool one) before I wash it. It will keep any water from going through the vents and onto the motor. I also shoot the decklid with compressed air prior to washing it to remove heavy particle as I mostly wash the decklid with a light mist and by hand (as opposed to lots of water and suds onthe rest of the car.

    2. Take off the electrical connection piece on the firewall behind the driver's seat after EVERY drive when I store it in the garage. I do this no matter how long I will let the car sit (even if a day). Prevents battery drain and the car runs like a top every time. Also hook up a Battery Tender

    3. Do NOT drive the car with the doors up. This puts SIGNIFICANT stress on the door joints and will cause a "floppy door" with only minimal time spent doing this. Don't do it (unless you HAVE to back up while sitting on the sill - something I don't need to do anyway).

Thats right but much easier is just to wind down the trailers jack wheel to the point that the rear of the tow vehicle is raised -presto! Have done it this way for years - no need to move anything and given my age, no need to remember extra stuff like wood planks.
