The Palisades Parkway is heavily patrolled. If you can stick to 50-55mph you'll be fine. But a string of exotic cars will draw attention. Observation points are great as are some of the drop down roads along the water . Best done on a weekday. Weekends used to be mobbed.

As I recall, we use to meet at Fort Tryon on the NY side just north of the GWB

Or Hiram's Road Stand in Fort Lee for Chill dogs and birch beer. I don't think I've ever seen that place flooded with Ferraris! ;) :p

The "Henry Hudson Drive" is a small offshoot of the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The Henry Hudson Drive is very narrow, twisty, and usually filled with bicycles- a very slow go. https://www.njpalisades.org/henryhudsondrive.html. The Palisades Interstate Parkway, known as the PIP, is a beautiful road but heavily patrolled. Having grown up in Englewood, I was very familiar with the PIP Police - in fact, while clandestinely parked in a scenic overlook with a young friend, the license plate in my dad's Fiat fell off and the PIP Police returned it to my dad, who had no idea I had used his car.

Henry Hudson drive is beautiful but this time of year probably hard to do on a weekend... major cycling route out of city along with 9w all the way to Piermont and Nyack, but beautiful destinations but very hard to give a cyclist 3 feet in a wide car

    Thanks everyone
The article I read made it sound like it was the best kept secret that no one knew about.
    Obviously that’s not the case

There used to be a community of dwarves living immediately south of the Ft Lee entrance.
    Literally.
Like a little bungalow colony along the river...

FNA Hudson Valley Association does a couple of these drives, I've done one.
If you are a member in your region you can participate in their events at member fee (if any)
