I don't know about that. The more subtle shapes look so much better in darker colors. For instance, the 550 looks garish in red or yellow, but stunning in blue and silver. Bright colors hide the body lines.
Welcome the Ferrari Toyota MR2! From the front and side: so generic that it looks more like the old Toyota MR. Back: so ugly that I threw up before I thought of any criticism.
Seems to me like I agree with a lot of people on here. I really like the side profile but the front just isn't going it for me. I am not a big fan of the headlights and there is something different about the front grille that just doesn't seem to fit. I also agree that the rear view looks somewhat strange but I think I will like it better once I see a straight shot from the back. I really like the single taillight coming over the edge.
wow, this car is pretty ugly! of course being a Ferrari, i want to love it but i can't! perhaps the usual responses of late of having to see it and having it grow on me will happen but what happened of instantly falling in love with a beautiful design?! to me it looks like a piecemeal of a GM car, bits of Ferrari, Ford Thunderbird, Lexus ISF and Alfa 8C for good measure.
Modern safety laws and basic aerodynamics are going to make most cars in a certain market segment look similar. Details and powertrains really are the separating factors these days.
What heppened to cars looking good in pictures? If the car has to be "explained" or "grow on you" it's a failiure. Look at a DB9. Looks fantastic in Blue, Yellow, video, pictures, real life, etc. Not a bad angle in sight.
hi-res photos through the text after clicking thumbs: http://www.rossocorsa.pl/index.php?id=38 599 looked bad on first photos, i, among many, was disappointed. but when you saw it on next photoshoots and in reality, noone claims now it looks worse than astonishing
I agree to a point... 5 series, E class, A6 sure they are kinda similar, but a Ferrari should be its own market segment. The Enzo may not be a beautiful car, but it is undoubtedly a Ferrari. This looks too much like every other sports coupe on the market and that doesn't represent Ferrari. Though i must admit that i love some of the details. The hood scoop looks good and i love the side vents... a la the 330 GTC. But there is something missing from the overall package...
I'm caught in between two minds. From the front it looks good, but the from the back I'm not that fussed on it. It will probably grow on me though.

I'm just a bit disappointed they took the exhaust from Lexus. Lexus is supposed to copy Ferrari not vice-versa. The hood intake seems a bit out of place but I understand it is supposed to be similar to the Cal spyder. I think I want to withhold judgement until I see more shots and real life shots. The first shots of the F430 from this same type (computer gen etc.) were definitely not flattering, so we'll see.
Whether you like the design of the car or not, I don't think we're gonna find one person who likes the wheels. They really do look like some rims that were swiped from a Pontiac GrandAm. I'd love to see somebody Photoshop some new wheels and see the difference it makes!
Looks like a face-lifted Maserati Coupe from 2005, especially the front grill. My first reaction, which hopefully will improve, is just to yawn and go back to eating my breakfast.
You are right - what's missing is a sense of excitement, of daring, of exploring where no other manufacturer would dare to go...albeit it's a GT, but I expect Ferrari to bring new ideas to market with new cars...I'm not feeling it with this one so far.
