    I believe a Ferrari timing belt will go the 50K+ it says in the manuals under the following conditions:

    Driven at least 8K miles/year.
    Tensioner bearings don't go bad
    Oil doesn't leak on belts
    Water pump doesn't sieze

    I figure maybe 1 in 100 3X8's ever met these conditions.

    Shut up dude, I am hoping to get a deal on a 308 with 25k when I find the right one because I'm not afraid to turn a wrench.
