    Hello fellow "F"-Chatters,

    Question:

Would anyone know whether the front cloisonne Ferrari badge was made exactly the same year-after-year, or did they change slightly?

Were all badges created equally? Did Ferrari use different vendors?

Are there code numbers on the back of any?

    Thank you very much!

    Chris.

Edited: My bad. http://www.black-barts.com (click "Ferrari" and then "FD/5") does show several types (but are you asking for all models or just the modern era?)

The TR SPC shows the "Front ornament" as PN 60795400 (if other can post the PN from other models for comparison).

    Chris,

The nose badges, as well as the shield emblems, have indeed changed over the years. If you can get your hands on a copy of the 2003 Ferrari Yearbook you will find an interesting article, starting on page 149, entitled "The Prancing Horse from Baracca to Ferrari". The depiction of the prancing horse has a varied and fascinating history. If you can't locate a copy of the yearbook, please PM me and I'll try to answer any questions.

    John
