Ha ha! You guys made me laugh several times. I am happy to see that the car impresses you the same way as it impresses me.

Ha! saying the 512 'impresses' is like saying north sea oil drills gently 'graze' the sea floor!

    It's f.awesome - even the passenger seat!

ok so seen 4 today at 3 garages!

It's pretty much a toss up between two, of the ones I have seen.

Anyone know these cars / have opinions as to the right price for either?

    KHPC:
    http://www.theferraricentre.com/boss/view.php?ccode=114873048126467&startitem=&startpage=&endpage=&current=&category=&make=&model=&condition=

    £44,995
    30,712 miles
    No ABS
    Chassis 4141
    Reg SIB 2246 (K/92)
Very, very nice condition - rosso/crema
    Standard exhaust
    Tracker
    All tools
    FFSH
    Belts done this year

    Verdi:
    http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/113701.htm

    £47,995
    18,975 miles
    ABS
    Chassis 7388
    Reg LS14 PNU (09/93)
Excellent condition - rosso/nero - The bodywork has the edge of the two, although chips on bonnet mean I would want a front end spray before collection.
    Standard exhaust
    Tracker
    Missing a couple of spanners
FFSH although book is a bit all over the place
    Cover included
    Belts just done
The air filters are black, all others I have seen are silver - which is standard?

Money no object I would be swaying towards the Verdi car as a preference as it is lower miles (I will put on about 4-5k pa) and my preferred interior colour. Overall in better condition too. However it is expensive and over the budget. I also know KHPC very well and they have always done a great job of looking after the 328.

Either car would need tubifying which adds about £2.2k.

Thoughts on max. value for either and any known history would be great, thanks guys!

How much are those lower miles really worth??? With a good zymolling lets assume the condition of both cars would be similar.

    Difficult!
I would be interested in the most "complete" car. Messy service books tell a story. On the other hand the second car has the preferred colour combination and the "low-milage". Although I would want to verify the milage first, especially because it has a messy service book. I think that Ferrari clocks are very frequently corrected.
I am not sure which filters are standard. I know that mine are silver too.

Overall the first car has been looked after very well and is complete. Compare the stonechips on the second car with the stonechips on my car (never repainted). It says a lot about the way the car was driven.

    My vote is for no.1

    Hedge,

pre-1993 models have silver air-boxes, post 93 have black air-boxes.
Pre 93 have also "Testarossa" logo on the engine hood 93+ don't have it.

    Good luck for your buy...

Have you already sell the 328 ?
