    Hey everyone,
My names Krish. As mentioned in the title I live in Calgary, Im 20, a student now but im fairly aimless with what I want to do with my life. I want to go into designing cars, but any of the universities that have any specific automotive engineering are a bit out of range, so im just finishing off aircraft maintanence then moving on to mechanical engineering.

I was going to work and saw a black 328 at the parking lot getting its windshield fixed, and I talked to the guy about which should be my first ferrari, he recommended FerrariChat to me. So here I am.

I looked around and theres some good stuff around here.

So obviously for the question to ask. What would be a good starter ferrari. By that I mean I dont want one thats too prone to breakdowns. I know some wont like this bit but I will be tracking this car, so it wont be a garage queen, and by driving it at the track i mean right at the edge. The 328 owner told me to look at the newer Ferraris.

I was originally looking at some of the 348s at zr auto but now I'm not too sure. Should I save up extra cash and get a 360 hardtop instead? Or maybe a 355.

    Help would be much appreciated.

And I heard good things about ZR Auto so if theres any ZR customers here on Fchat can you guys give me some feedback please?

    Thanks everyone and have fun.

    Welcome to Fchat Krish.

Get what you want, read up on the sections, all cars have problems, and if you drive it at the track, that's awesome, but lots of money if you lose control or crash.

I am a bit confused though, 20 and buying a Ferrari.

im not planning to buy one right now. just getting some of the info down and processing it up. As for the losing control bit. Ya I am sort of aware of that, but hopefully I would be a good enough driver by then to handle the car at its limits.

So as to your question of 20 and buying a ferrari. No not happening. I am an optimistic guy but that would be optimistic to the point of foolishness.

Are the 348s capable of taking a beating at the track then be driveable the next day? I have seen some reasonably high mileage 360s, and the occasional 430, so I am a bit confused. Are the newer cars that much more reliable or what?

My dream Ferrari is the f40 (wont happen unless i get my dream job)

But I will look around. Thanks for the warm welcome.

    Even good drivers crash ;)
Anyways, good luck in the future, we all have similar goals :)

Sorry, can't really answer your question, I have no idea.
