Michael: Is your E-type at Muncie Imports & Classics? That looks like their facility. If so, you’ll be very happy with their work. They did my E-type way back in 2007 and the car still looks and drives like new. Good luck with your project, Alan N.J.
N.J. ~ Yes-sir. Its been over-budget for me, but they are business friends & I trust them wholeheartedly. I just wanted a hand assembling it... And it turns into a every nut & bolt redo. You car guys get it I am sure. Just how we roll.
Not this one. It sat in a garage over 15 years after being painted the 1st time. Never assembled. Now I have had it about three years ~ and its been painted again! Reassembly is going along. We sent some original stuff out for chrome, and we replaced some other pieces with new chrome. Engine is done, transmission is done... Next will be a new electrical harness & rebuild all of the suspension pieces so we can make it roll.
Update! These are from last month but we are moving along. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It has several homes at the moment... But the paint shop for the body was/is Muncie Imports ~ & OSJI for the leather. https://www.muncieimports.com
It is so cool to see the new parts suddenly appear on the fresh paint of the body and subframe. The new harness gives a great contrast to the red paint. You will love the car when it is done as there are few views better than looking over the louvres on the bonnet while cruising. I have s 67 OTS Series 1 and it always gives a thrill.Good luck,Mike
Not too far from putting wheels on it & making it roll (1st time in 25+ years). Image Unavailable, Please Login Hey! Gauges that work! Image Unavailable, Please Login

For a Porsche guy this radiator thing is not what I am use to. But hey... I always wanted to be cool, this radiator may help. Image Unavailable, Please Login
E-type gauges are all working (well... except for that tach!). Whats the chances of that. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bonnet getting ready for install. Image Unavailable, Please Login As I have learned the 1971 Series II was a one year low production version. The only year to have the Jaguar leaper cat emblem on its flanks & the front opening standard chrome trim surround ~ prior to the Three Series.
Oh, man, there is a top-down warm summer night cruise in your immediate future. Congrats! Will be/is beautiful!
