Hey guys, I live in Naples Florida. I have a few 250GTO's, a couple 355's, a black, yellow, and red F50, and...2 ENZO's... Oh yes...they are 1:18th scale. For now, I have a 2002 Porsche 996. It has been slightly modified. Hopefully I can have a Ferrari in the garage soon enough. Anyways, just wanted to say hey. David A. Here she is. If you want more pictures, just ask...Photography is a major hobby of mine and taking pictures of cars is my favorite thing.
Oh, it is an Extra 300s. If you want to ehh, see something that was somewhat intentional...Look at the call numbers on it. They are N"911"TJ. I am guessing you will all get that. Anyways, flying is another hobby and passion of mine. I have been doing it since I was about 14. Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome. One last picture so you can see the call numbers. I love the Champions. Personally, I think ANY cross spoke wheel will make a car look better. I don't think I will be getting rid of it any time soon.
Welcome to the website, Dave! Love your car, but love your plane even more. Lots of us here are aviation enthusiasts and pilots as well.
Welcome Dave. I too am a flying enthusiast. I have an A36 Bonanza. There have been many days where I have been torn between driving my Ferrari and flying. Fortunately, I generally get to do both. I love the Extra. Do you fly aerobatics? BTW is that your 414 in the hanger?
Good eye. I am glad to hear that many of you fly aswell. I usually just pop around in my Cessna 182 Skylane 2. The 300s is brought out on special occasions. I always bring business clients up with me and throw them into a flat spin while pretending that I have no clue how to get out. I ehh, well....err, let's just say it hasn't gone over well with some. The 414 is actually a friend's of mine. He stores it in my other hangar when he is down. What else do you guys fly? Any classic aviation?
I just looked at your handle. Are you a Captain or just an aviation enthusiast? Owning a Ferrari would be quite a luxury for the average Commercial Pilot. If so, more power to you!
Just an enthusiast...still in college right now and I would like to be an airline pilot but cant seem to fund my training. Its a pretty tough life, still debating whether or not its right for me or not.
If you want to know the truth, I have always had it in the back of my mind. Maybe if things don't work out 100%, I can always fall back on some sort of aviation profession...I just wouldn't want what I love, to become "work" for me. Where are you going to college?
Wow nice plane and car. Regarding your other question on other people that are pilots I'm also hoping to do the airline thing (I only have my PPL, IFR ticket and working on my commercial). Jordan, I'm pretty much in the same situation you are (exept out of college, trying to scrap money together to fly/live). I think what it really comes down to it if you really have the drive you will find some way to do it. I have had tons of set backs with this little goal but, the way I see it I have come way to far to just walk away.
Quite honestly, you aren't missing much. Probably the most fun you'll get here is some water skimming and island hopping. Everything is very flat and it can get humid and hot. I would much rather fly up in the mountains where it is nice and cool during the summer. Now during the winter...I'll take down here.
I wouldnt mind hearing your story so far...how you got started training, etc. Maybe PM me one of these evenings if you have some free time! David, Im at Chapman University, a nice private school down here in LA. Great school, I love it, but too expensive...not sure if its right for me or not anymore. Erik, flight training or a car? You have absolutely no idea how much that question has been killing me
Hmmm, your choice of words is interesting. "I have", shouldnt that be more along the lines of "my mom has" seeing how it is her car and all... Business clients eh? Your how old again...17, 18? Yes it is
