'75 & '78 recordings I like the direction the Doc is going with this one, so, to give an idea of what tune the boys are playing... Let's just say... Diamonds and Rust Never Sleep
I remember a story Patrick Sky told me: I was sitting at Gurdies when the door opened and a cold blast of winter air made me look up and I noticed a hick walking in. He looked lost and hungry. He sat down next to me and gave my cheese Berger a look. I pushed it over to him and ordered another one and two beers. The Hick finished my burger and another one and four beers thanked me and announced he was a folk singer. I said cool and he said no really I am and I'm going to write a folk song now. He took out a pen and I handed him a napkin and he started writing. When he finished we were both a little drunk so I urged him to show his song to the guy who was up on stage. (Noel Paul Stookey) He stood up and handed Noel the napkin and said in a loud voice I'm a folk singer and I just wrote this song. Noel laughed but he took the napkin and gave it a glance. Slowly he seemed to be more interested and kept reading. He pick up his guitar and started strumming. I'm going to sing this Noel said. That was the first time anyone ever heard "Blowing in The Wind". Here's a new one I like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pyp34v6Lmcc

I have been trying to remember the name of this movie for the past three years! What is it? Thanks in advance!
I saw Dylan last night at the House of Blues, and it was a pitiful show. The crowd kept waiting on something they could recognize, but it never came. It was all new stuff, or a couple of obscure older songs that sounded nothing like the way it was recorded. Even the finale of Blowing in the Wind was not anything like I had heard before. No Lay Lady Lay, or my favorite Like a Rollin Stone. Good backup musicians, but why won't these old stars pay homage to the fans and money that gave them their fame? It was only matched by a Neil Young concert a few years back, where the whole concert had actors and a play going on to support the music. He only played 2 old songs for the finale. I was a huge fan until that show. Rant over.
Jim, even you are not that friggen old. Ferraris are nuthin but Rock 'n Roll. I was going to take all you higher. But screw it. Damn Gen X'rs. I really hate all this anal compartmentalisation on Ferrari Chat. I'll just leave you boy scout moderators who are so scared of Rob's shadow with this -- Out of the blue and into the black They give you this, but you pay for that And once you're gone, you can never come back When you're out of the blue and into the black Dale
