after you get the hang of it all, and after you move to a low wing tail dragger, you should think of getting a warbird. this is my Horizon hobbies .60 size P-51 mustang ARF. wingspan is about 66", length is about 56" and weight is about 8 lbs. power comes from a 4 stroke Saito 100 and a master air screw 2 blade prop. it also comes with electric retracts which i'm going to change over to pneumatic (better) and gas struts. I can't weight to fly it, but now I'm thinking of getting the new 1.50 SIZE, so I might just sell it ready to fly. will see. any how enjoy the pics...

    Very nice!

My 3rd plane will probably be one of those combat fliers. Aluminum poles with wings and an engine. :) Many in our club dog fight those with the ribbons. It definitely looks like a blast and supposedly is pretty cheap. I then want to build a warbird, either P-51 like yours or F-4. How long did it take you to assemble that one?

Oh ok, Horizon make a nice Coursair ARF with retracts. I sugest you build some tail wheel time before jumping into anything HOT. by the way your trainer can easily be converted into a tail dragger with little work.

How are tail draggers differnt that tri-wheel? Seems like a tail dragger would be more stable taking off and even landing. Or do you land a tail dragger on the front landing gear and then set the tail down?

Tail draggers are LESS stable than tri-gear.
Reason is, a larger area behind the CG. That makes them very susceptible to crosswinds on T/O, and Lndgs, and more difficult to taxi.

Yes. You land on the main wheels, bleed off speed, and then lower the tail.
