Sounded flat throught the climbing Esses. I'd love to see the speed and G's as both had to be huge

Gawd thats awesome. My little Grand-Am RX8 would have looked like a grandma on a rascal compared to that thing.

Being that close to the track surface gives you a whole new perspective on the track. It really under-represents just how much altitude changes there are at VIR.

One of the YouTube comments was "VIR never looked so straight". That perfectly describes the video, I think.

    • Top speed was reported at 175 mph and the average speed was 121.863 mph.
    • The car was on full throttle for 17 seconds from the exit of Turn 6a to the entry of Turn 10. That means wide-open runs through the Climbing Esses – past the Lodge and the Villas at South Bend.
    • It was full throttle for another 15 seconds from the exit of the Oak Tree Turn (T11) to the entry of Roller Coaster (T14).
    • Counting those two sectors plus the run from T17 to T1, prototypes should run nearly half the circuit at full throttle on a clear lap.

I'm looking forward to running VIR some day. It did look straight but I seem to recall seeing turns on the course map.

It really looked stinkin fast. Honestly,at this point in my training, I think I would be afraid of such speed.

I'm going to Skip Barber Road Atlanta Monday. Been wanting three days for a long time. 30 days of education thus far. I'm expecting real gains.

PCA Potomac, with the local Audi club, is hosting a 3 day DE at VIR next weekend - Labor Day. Wide range of cars and drivers, but only one Ferrari that I know of and hopefully, one Lambo. I think there are still openings in most run groups.
