Craig- That is a really good deal. Good luck on selling a few of the kits, which should fit all 599s. Do you offer the HGTE F1 upgrade, too, for late 07 and later 599s?
Dave- Look up the prices for just the parts of a standard 599 on Ricambi and see what you get. From memory, just the sports exhaust for a 575M is nearly $15K and the HGTE exhaust would be similar. Sure you can buy aftermarket cheaper, but for all you are getting, with factory engineering, it is a huge bargain. The wheels probably exceed $10K.
Thank you Terry. Good to see you here. Anyway - how can anyone offer factory wheels (or parts generally) at lower than factory prices. I agree with you- the wheels are probably $15,000 if ordered as parts from Ricambi or Ferrari. Is this person in business to buy parts and sell them at reduced prices or are we looking at replica/used parts here.
Dave- The kits were way cheaper from the factory than the individual parts. Once the dealers had a few kits lying fallow after production stopped, they then wholesaled them to the highest bidder. Same thing has happened to OEM wheels lately.
Full upgrade for late enough 07s and later cars to speed up shifting to 80 to 85 ms from 100 ms. GTO is 60 ms.
Sounds interesting. Do you have production dates (month/year) or serial #s that demonstrate the production threshold for this appreciable upgrade? Also -- would this upgrade be available by itself/ a la carte and, if so, any ballpark pricing you could alert me to? On another note -- in case anyone reading doesn't know: Taz Phillips is an immense contributor to this forum; and his F-car knowledge -- and especially V-12 knowledge -- is second to that of very few, if anyone, in the world.
Hey Terry - if possible please send me a PM or an email to ferrari pioneer 348 <at> gmail <dot> com [no spaces of course].
