Hi everyone, I have been lurking on here, and had an F430 for a few years. Its been great and I still love it. I have the standard brakes albeit Yellow calipers, I don't really want to go down the ceramic route, but I do want to improve the size of the front brakes, has anyone got any idea's ? Thanks in advance.
Every now and then someone sells a complete set of CCBs on here. I missed it a few years back 5K or so i think. Im not aware of any out there besides the stock CCBs from Brembo.
That is what I did on my 360 430ccm caiplers with 380mm giro disc rotors Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi guys, I really could do with some help: w What is a decent price to pay for the front and rear Carbon ceramic brake calipers (no discs as I intend to get steel rotors) I have been offered a full set of calipers that will probably require a repaint and was wondering what they should sell for? Oh and a quick couple of other questions are the rear calipers the same or are the Carbon calipers bigger? Is it easy to get steel rotors for the carbon calipers (380mm I think) and the pads for steel rotors? Hope someone can help and thanks in advance.
If you go for used ccm calipers be aware the pistons sometimes need replacing as the plating comes off, you can get stainless ones from Superperformance for about £200 a caliper plus seal kits. You could be in for an extra £1000 for 4 calipers
I just did a complete conversion of my 360 Modena to factory CCM brakes all the way around: 1. Brembo calipers come up for sale occasionally and you'll need front and rear as rotors are thicker 2. Emergency brake calipers have to be replaced as well. Very difficult to find used and I had to buy new- Eurospares has them 3. Factory used CCM rotors are hard to find as well - got lucky and found a nice set at a recycler - steel is a good option though 4. The caliper mounting bolts have to be replaced as they are longer for the CCM units - Eurospares has them 5. Brake booster/master cylinder is optional but I chose to replace with CCM unit as the servo settings are different from stock. Direct fit with a minor line change configuration. Can be found used occasionally from recycler. 6. Factory brake lines can be used but I changed to braided stainless units - inexpensive upgrade and serval brands available. Part Numbers Front - Caliper Left 228025, Right 228026, Both Rotors 240531 Rear Caliper Left 228041, Right 228042, Both Rotors 202180, Bolts front 195167, Bolt rear 196837 CCM Booster 198634 Needless to say they look awesome and perform spectacularly - totally worth the effort and $$
Thanks so much, yes the standard brakes look really silly small. What would you expect to pay for a full set of used CCM Calipers please?
Likely a very marginal improvement in performance. You will get less fade on track sessions with larger rotor but increase unsprung weight. Turbo Porsche owner of 996 model did back-to-back comparison of 350mm to 380mm rotor swap with 4 piston turbo stock calipers to the 6 piston GT3. After a few track sessions he said not worth the effort.
The CCM discs are usually around 2.5k per piece. I am looking for them already for 6 months, but I cannot find them for cheaper. There are full brembo upgrade kits available from eurospares. This includes calipers and CCM discs for around 12k total. Buying them separate is probably more expensive. You can also go with the steel discs. Giro disc mostly used. Around 4k for 4 discs (380mm front and 350mm rear). But you need 4 calipers as well. Probably around 3-4k for 4 of them. So total steel conversion about 8k. With steel you can buy rings afterwards for about 600. If you don't track you should get the ccms if the extra 4k is worth it. If you track and you carr about a few $k than get the steels.
