Hi Lamborghini owners. I am thinking about to jump ship from Ferrari to Lamborghini.
Any information will be a great help. I have never owned or driven a Lamborghini or even sat in one. I am thinking about a 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster or a 2007 model.
I like the look of the Diablo but want to drive more often. I drove my Ferrari Testarossa about 3,ooo miles a year. 1995 F512M i drove it much much less because it was a collector car. I did not really injoy it. My last car which I sold few weeks ago was a 2007 599 GTB. I liked the car but the stick was terrible. I hated driving it. Just a year of ownership I sold it and lost tons of money on it. My budget is around $180,000.00
Is there any majior concers with the 2005 model year service cost??

    Any feedbacks... thanks
    John los angeles

Lamborghini is certainly a very different car from Ferrari, but that's why we love them :D There's a noticeable difference between an 2005 Murci and a 2007 (The LP640 Upgrade). I'd suggest hopping in one to get an idea of the feel first considering we all could tell you a ton of information, but really what matter is the feel.

Shoot me a PM, I can send you to one of my buddies at the dealer and they can give you a first hand tour of Lamborghini.

Are you looking to get something with paddle shift (e gear)? You may want to consider a Diablo 6.0 if you are okay with manual.

try to make your budget stretch into an early series diablo and an espada. that's what i would do. get the best two flavors as the old man brought us; vintage, hand made front engined gt, plus crazy scissor doored v-12 mid engined supercar. both cars benefit from frequent driving.

Not a fan of L-power, L-talk is much more civil.

John, I just bought an 06 yesterday for your budgeted amount, red over black/tan, 6500 miles. I have only had it for 1 day, but I am amazed just how solid and heavy it feels, much more power than the 2004 360 Spider I had. Much rarer and more exotic (that sounds crazy after driving a Ferrari for 4 years), but Lamborghini only made 121 Roadsters in 2006 for the world, 40% or so came to the States I am told....... I love the way it drives...so far... Good Luck, I am glad I made the change

Within your budget you could get a very nice and newer Gallardo, which would drive more nimble...

    Hi John:

I own a 2008 Gallardo Superleggera and it's fun and easy to drive. You can probably get a used one for less than your budget. I recommend a gallardo superleggera as opposed to just a gallardo. I'm sure whatever model lambo you choose, you will love! I enjoy not having to step on a clutch. The paddle shifters are awesome. It's like a big go kart, but I'm sure you know as you drive a Ferrari. I"ve never driven a Ferrari. I take my car in for service once a year although this will be my first service since I got the car in September. I don't need a comprehensive service as I don't put much miles on it. I drive it, but pretty much locally and to do errands too. It will probably cost me about $650 or so for my once a year oil change. I do need rear tires but found a place who gets them wholesale from Pirelli. Hope this helps. Wendy
