    If you go through hpi you get the warranty, if you go through somebody here you don't......

    Hi mate...dont know what you mean!!!...Its a Grp A Escort Cosworth rally car that i have put a deposit on,just like to know what the car is actually on the file as for insurance purposes!...before i hand over the rest of the cash...of course i am just being tight by not wanting to fork out a score!!!!

    Any help as owning a Ferrari is skinting enuff LOL!!!

    The reg comes out clean.......... need to know the chassis number for a full check.

    If you go through HPI they gaurantee the data, so if its been a total loss and they don't know about it at the time of enquiry they'll pay up if a couple of months down the line its proved they were wrong

    i just had word that reg is a 1.4 LX clean...not really great for insurance...LOL...lost my deposit i think as its got a street value of about £200!!!!

    What did you get Andy?

    On the simplest (none cost option :) ) I got no problems but then again it just lists as a 92-93 escort with no known claims, hence the question over the Vin number

    Surely you can't build a cossie out of a standard 1.4 scort? I thought they were made out of cut down siera cossies?

    Sorry Phil but looks like you may well end up stumping up the £20 to have a full check done, or you could make it a condition of the sale, after all do you think the seller would baulk at including a £20 HPI check against a possible sale, we give a full HPI check away with all the cars we sell (insurance for me as well as the buyers)

    Hi...mate...the car is a motorsport car...i fear the ID on it was by using a escort 1.4LX then scrapping that car...i did a text check thats what it gave!
