HiFi upgrade the same in The California as the 458?

I was thinking of doing the HI-FI upgrade just to have the bigger factory enclosures. Then if I don't like it, have better speakers and an amp installed in those locations to keep the factory look.

Some like it, some don't. Option 2, order a Novitec exhaust with test pipes and no valves, Evoms ecu upgrade, and throw the stereo out the window.

 

Hey xeron. I recall going through this with the Cali. Apparently ( I haven't taken delivery of my 458 yet), the speakers are electrostatic and the amp is an upgraded JBL. There are significant changes in the speaker enclosures, which MAY indicate an actual change from the standard system. I ordered it. We'll see.

The center driver, and the door mid range speakers are the same as the one's in the Cali. Still don't see where the bigger door panel woofers are located.

It's still a "digital" amp. Highly doubt it's up to the specs or sound of my Bel Canto 1000m's. At least you have the additional enclosures, so just upgrade the drivers, and add a better high quality amp.

 

does anyone have a diagram of where the speakers are located in a 458 Italia with the Hi Fi/ JBL option? the diagram on Scuderia parts is hard to see. there are supposed to be 2 tweeters and a center channel somewhere in the dash? I can see the 4 Planar speaker behind the seats under the rear window, but there are supposed to be 2 mid drivers on the B pillar on each side but all i see is leather so how can there be 2 speakers on each side near the headrests when this area is covered in leather? thanks in advance!
