I am a 2004 Maserati coupe owner. Anyone know of a high-end car club in Richmond, Virginia? If not, is there anyone interested in starting one or just meeting to drive and talk cars? Tony
I am sure you can find a Maserati club in your area. You should bring it up to our Auto-x in May, after that we are headed to lunch to talk cars! Good luck with your search. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12342
I'm in Charlottesville, 'bout an hour from you. Not much of the high end exotics around here, but always happy to meet up.
There are a few of the exotics here, but almost all of them are gargage queens, and you never see them on the road. I heard there's only 1 other Maserati in Richmond, so, unfortunately, there is no Maserati club. I would definitely be interested in meeting up and talking cars.
We're moving (nearby) in a couple weeks, but once the weather gets nice come on over here -- we have a couple porsches, mercedes, and my 72 dino 246gt should be here shortly. scott
One of my clients lives in Charlottesville. I visited down there for some detailing work a few months ago.. NICE back roads to have some fun on! He doesnt have any Masers but has Fcars. Im sure he will speak on this thread.
I never said it was ONLY ferrari.... but since that seems to be more than you have now why don't you touch base with John. He's a good guy.
I have actually meet up with Tony, the guy who started this thread. He is also an M5 owner and has the Masseriti for sale at FOW. I believe he is looking at an Fcar for his next purchase. A group of us has done several runs down the Richmond way. Robert
I don't know, he spends most time on the m5board. I will pm him there and tell him to check his stuff over here at ferrarichat. Robert
Hey All, John from Richmond here... I got my '04 Modena about a year ago... been wanting one a long time. Drove it to show friends, drove it to Starbucks at 7 AM on Saturday, washed it, waxed it, polished it, photographed it, had a beer with it... and then what?? So, 6 months ago joined the FCA and circled everyone down this way. Started calling folks, some FCA members know non-FCA Ferrari owners, word of mouth, etc., and here is what we have so far: Richmond Ferrari Group: 599 GTB, F360 Modena, 2 F360 Spyders, 575M, 550, F355, F355 Spyder, 348 CS, 3 - 328's, 2-308's, Daytona Spyder, Lusso and vintage racer from the 50's. Surrounding Areas that join us from time to time (Charlottesville, Williamsburg, VA Beach, etc.): 2 F430's, F430 Spyder, 575M, F360 Spyder, 246 Dino, 328, 308. Not too bad for 6 months work. What is up for the future, beside the impromptu coffees: 2/21 - 2/25 - Trip to Italy, Ferrari Factory tour, museums, restaurants. 3/17 PM - Formula 1 Season Kickoff, 9:00 PM Chammps Bar & Grill April - Bill Marriott garage tour, FoW visit May - BBQ at my house, Saturday afternoon June - trip to Montreal Grand Prix Sept - 23rd Annual Classics on the James car show (250 cars). So, we are very active here. Great group. Close knit. Please get in touch at any time: dowlingjohn@comcast.net, 804-356-9157
Also, have invited quite a few other high ends that join us, including (all welcome): Masers, Porsche GT, P Turbo, M5s, BMW 760, high end Mercedes, etc. Actually, at one point the group started to get a little too big. We are really not ones for doing burn outs everywhere we go, loud music, getting too crazy on public streets, etc. We try to save that for the track. So, we do strive to not draw too much attention to ourselves and be good citizens.
I know this is an old thread I'm resurrecting but we started a new private high end exotic group in the Richmond area if anyone is interested please shoot me a PM. We currently have 2 F355s and a F430 in the group. Heres the link to the group, its invite only so send a request. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1026507037365033/
