I have recently purchased a 360 spider and want to replace the catalytic converters. I just ordered a set of FabSpeed headers and plan to keep the stock silencer for a little while.

Ideal for me is a little more sound than stock, but don’t want to piss off the neighbors (well most of them), a little more performance and reducing the risk of the stock issues with precats/cats, etc.

I’ve read through most of the older posts on the topic and found at least 2 of the recommendations are no longer offered and the current prices range from $1,500 for top speed up to $7k+ for Tubi.

Want to find something that has been tested, but any money I can save here will go to other areas of the car. I have some other items to still address such as a window regulator and window seal too…

Recommendations on performance cats on 2024 without spending a fortune?

I purchased and had installed Super Sprint 200 cell cats, and have been happy with them, though I confess I do t really have anything to compare them to, other than stock. Like $3k-ish for the pair I think.

100 cell was also available but presumably louder.

Whatever you get, make sure you have the right setup for your O2 sensors. Your Fabspeed headers might have nowhere to plug in the sensor, and if so, you’ll need to make sure your new cats have a second set of bungs.

Added capristo with blankets, significant change in temp in engine bay.

also had fabspeed headers and bags on them as well already.
