    Hi all,

well I am fighting a high idle issue and need to sort it for MOT and emissions test. So I have changed out the idle control valves, cleaned throttle bodies (they were very dirty) and I just cleaned the MAF. Will find out if this has worked shortly. However before I forget, the MAF resistance (we will fight the MAFs) was 361 and 362 ohms before cleaning and I had heard it should be 382. I thought I would just check them again after cleaning and now one is 383 and other is 382 ohms. So clean the MAFs before messing with adjusting them.

Well after all that work, the idle is still a bit dodgy, but it is better. I think I will give her a few good runs and come back to it later. However cleaning the MAFs changed the resistance and therefore definitely contributed to an improving picture.

What codes are you getting from the ECU? (if any?)

I must confess, I have yet to figure out getting codes out. I believe it is quite easy, must go take a look in the manual. However she is running quite smooth now although one of the new cheap Chinese idle control valves seems to be twittering a lot when I turn the ignition on.

it's easy. in the trunk, takes 5 minutes, this is for the 348, but for the 't' open the trunk, both ECU buttons are on there.

You'll do a morse code thingy - let me know if you have any questions.
