A friend of mine has a high mileage 2001 US spec 360 spider he just took in on trade. The car is yellow/black 6spd with 33,000 miles, car has yellow piping, pwr daytona seats, black calipers. Car will have 30k service done(included in price) before it is sold, clean, clean car, no curb rash on wheels, almost new tires. He is asking $140,000. All tools, books and records. Car is in new york.

I don't know, it seems like a pretty good price to me. I would buy it in a nanosecond at $110 if thats what you mean.

For a coupe I would expect a '99-'00 with 30K to be around $100K...We're talking about a '01 top down, yellow 360 - I would assume 25-30K more than what a coupe is listed for (asuming tip top shape) add $5-10K for bargaining purposes and I say its a pretty standard listing...

Upon saying that this is my opinion and I am not in the market for one, so, just offering my opinion - best of luck to the seller and future buyer.

As someone who just purchased a 360 spider and who spent a lot of time investigating the market, this is a VERY fair price. Remember, we're not talking about a coupe here -- I haven't seen '01 _Euro_ Spiders going for below $150k, let alone a US car for $140k. Even with the mileage, that's a very fair price market price for a spider in good shape.

The initial post is really not proper here... post ads in FerrariAds.com. But since this became an interesting post on 360 pricing and actually counter-selling the posted vehicle, I'm going to not delete the thread. But to be clear... its not okay to post ads, even if just "for a friend".

I know that we don’t want every thread to turn into a sales call (do we?), but I have to admit that I really like the extra information that a normal thread often offers on “for sale” items. I think many people may comment in a standard thread about an item for sale who may never drop by the ads.

I found my 550 in the normal threads. I pursued that particular car because of the commentary in the thread. The thread had the ad, endorsements (people knew the owner and mechanic), pricing discussion (helped me a lot), and moral support (when I waffled). I took most of the discussion off line, but the thread was the jumping off point.

A normal thread listing something for sale doesn’t eliminate the need for an ad – it compliments it (and vice versa).

    My 2 cents.
