Thought it might be interesting to see owners who have over 75,000 miles or 120,000 kilometers of Ferrari driving time. I'll start it with my own history. Total Cumulative Ferrari Miles: 122,000 miles Model (year) Mileage 360 coupe (2003) 67,000 miles California (2010) 55,000 miles
I had an '84 308 that I bought with about 35,000 miles and sold 4 years later with about 75,000. Was still running strong.
I am getting close in my 85 308. I just crosssed 72,000 last week. PDG Posted from Ferrarichat.com App for Android
That's awesome! Didn't realize your's had that many on it. Proof a Ferrari can still look spectacular even with 'high miles".
My Mondial cab 3.2 has over 72,000 miles and still runs like new. But I'm not the one that did all those miles. I'm the seventh owner. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Locally there is a 88 Testarossa that has over 200,000 miles. There is also a 99 360 Modena with over 125,000 miles.
104K miles on my 85 QV. Total engine rebuild was done by PO at 85K. I've put about $20,000 into it - new paint, new interior, Dave Helms hoses and lots of other issues that 308's are prone to. Love the car and I figure with the high miles it's pretty much saleproof. Is what it is - my first and last Ferrari. Question now is: what lasts longer - me or the car?
115,000 - 75 308GT4. 1983-2011. Still on the original engine at around 130,000. Now owned by my nephew, his dad was the orginal owner from 1977-1983. 2800 - 07 430 coupe 12/16/12- 3/02/13. 117,800 total
'79 308 GTS with 122,000 miles. Engine never been out. Originally owned by Dr in Atlanta from '79-05. Bought by a co-worker of my wife's, then she said we would buy it when he moved back to Europe. He put about 1k on it and I have only put about 2k. But Brian Stewart just gave it its last major and said it was in great shape. Plan on driving it a lot more this year. Charlie
I wish more people would chime in to reassure new owners that it's fine to buy a higher mile car. With service every 15-25k miles synthetic fluids used , why wouldn't it go 100k plus. These are much better serviced than DD and they 100-200k regularly . Now that more non enthusiast are buying these cars as status symbol or conversation piece and not driving them perspective buyer think lower miles equal better car which isn't true. Things that aren't used fall apart fast that regularly used . No matter car or house . Enzo was an engine builder and these engine last it the other parts of the car he didn't show detail to that fail first .
60 250 cab SII 48,000 when bought, 51,000 when sold 72 246 gt 36,000 when bought, 44,000 when sold 77 308 GTB 10,000 when bought, 120,000 when sold 77 308 GTB 18,000 when bought, 35,000 now Total personal miles 138,000 and counting
This thread got me to wondering what is the MOST miles anyone has ever put on their Ferrari? I've driven older Volvos for the most part, and they routinely last over 200K-250K before I have to rebuild them.
Nice! My 456M only had 7K when I bought it two years ago, and now it's at 21K, so I'm closing fast. lol. Cheers, George
