    A. MS100 StreetBlaze 100. Oxygenated with ethanol, this CARB-legal fuel is specifically engineered for high-performance street cars including sport compacts, muscle cars, street rods and more. It's environmentally friendly and street legal throughout the U.S. In applications with anything from 4- to 12-cyclinders or engines equipped with a turbocharger, supercharger or nitrous oxide system (NOS), StreetBlaze 100 will generate optimum power and performance. In turbocharged or supercharged applications, it allows an increase in boost without fear of detonation. NOS users can also leverage their higher octane ratings to step up to a more powerful nitrous oxide system. Dyno tests with a turbocharged application proved StreetBlaze100 generates up to 14% more horsepower compared to premium grade 91 octane unleaded gasoline. Designed for use in cast-iron head engines with CRs up to 13:1 and aluminum head engines up to 14:1. Works well on the latest generation of electronically-controlled turbo engines. Contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

    • Color: Orange
    • Oxygenated: Yes
    • Motor Octane: 96
    • R+M/2: 100
    • Specific Gravity: .746 at 60° F

    B. MS109 Motorsport 109 unleaded. Produces more power than any other unleaded fuel. Recommended for higher boost applications with CRs up to 11:1 or naturally aspirated engines up to 13:1.

    • Color: Clear
    • Motor Octane: 101
    • R+M/2: 105
    • Research Octane: 109
    • Oxygenated: Yes
    • Specific Gravity: .722 at 60° F

    C. NEW! U4.2 The latest generation of VP's U4 based fuels, this fuel is a direct pour-in replacement for U4 with little to no jetting changes required - +2 main jets and +2 pilot jets at the most. Makes power equivalent to U4 with no sticky residue and a less pungent odor. U4.2 passes AMA amateur fuel rules and is perfect for club level racing, CCS, WERA and AFM. U4.2 makes up to 6% more power than pump gas.

    • Color: Blue
    • Oxygenated: Yes
    • Motor Octane: 102
    • Specific Gravity: .784 at 60° F

Jeff FWIW I pay less than $7.00 per gallon for 101 unleaded at the pump at the 76 station Glenarm & Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena - I run my Euro spec Mercedes on it.

Just a price check for you re: your 100.

    Cheers

Yes it is, but it's cheap because it's cheap gas.

Not to disagree, but PT Barnum had a good saying too! Whether your statement or his applies in this case I have no idea, just an observation. I know it's not a popular idea to possibly question a sponsor, but hopefully you might be able to explain what's inferior about the other cheaper options.

...and 91 octane gas that my car was designed to run on is $3.50 per gallon at Costco, which is 3 times what it cost when my car was designed.

Well, could you elaborate a bit more? What is it about the stuff at UnionConoco (or whatever they call themselves now) that makes it "cheap", or what is it about yours that makes it "good" in comparison to theirs (and therefore worth nearly 30% more)?

Not a knock here (pun absolutely intended) just want to be smarterer if I need to be.

    Thanks
    Kevin

I'd like to know why this is in the 456/550/575 section?

I don't think running leaded fuel would help me pass my next emissions test, and I don't believe on a modern V-12 you would get much benefit from the higher octane, or am I mistaken?

Modern US version cars with computerized engine management systems are designed to run flawlessly on widely available premium grade gas.
100 or higher octane benefits older cars, especially carb cars which were designed to run higher octane fuels. The only reason for the presence of lead in fuel is to increase the octane rating, so if you can find high octane unleaded gas it is better for the air and will do well in older non computerized cars.

Exactly-- and last time I checked, my 456 had a computerized engine management system!

So, again, why is this in the 456/550/575 section?

Maybe it would do well in the Boxer...

Actually, not to start an old debate, but my understanding was that older, carb cars, were set up with a specific fuel in mind (or whatever fuel was in the tank when the car was tuned up), and higher octane actually gives you no benefit.

Whereas, modern computerized cars can actually detect and adjust the spark, within certain parameters, to gain some small benefit from higher octane.

Nice prices, LOL! I pay $4.50 a gallon, give or take a few cents, for Citgo Racing 110 oct in two 1050hp raceboat engines, AT THE PUMP ON THE WATER. The prices you have quoted are outragious.

Edit: We can also get Sunoco Blue 116 by the 55 gallon barrel for $7.50 a gallon.
