My '17 488 is experiencing a high pitch squeal from the front left when not braking, it goes away fully when turning left, but returns when centering the wheel, or turning right. Any ideas?

Maybe a bad left front wheel wheel bearing? Jack up that corner and see if there's any play top to bottom in the wheel, and of course check for pebbles or other junk that could be rubbing against the brake disc, caliper, or other parts around there.

I had this on another car and the cause was a stone caught in the brake caliper behind the pad backing plate

    Second hand car ?

If so get it checked out if there has ever been any damage.

I only say this because the distance between the brake pad and the rotor is so so small.

I give certified cars no extra security. You have no idea is the previous owner gutted the wheel.
