Im trying to find some art work for my office. So, im going to use good pictures of various cars and have them put on glass (im in the glass business). There are very few cars i will consider since i will have 3, 4, or maybe 5 pieces in my office. So given the limited amount of pictures i can use they have to be great cars with great scenery etc. and the miura fits that criteria quite well IMHO.

So does anyone have any high res (must be over 300dpi if that makes any sense to you) and if someone has a panaramic one that would be a bonus! I would LOVE to have one cover almost the entire wall (10'x3' maybe?) without looking too cropped....

    thanks in advance :)

Sounds interesting. Do you have any images of the technique?

I'll take a look to see if I have any hi-res pics of my Miura S that you could use, if not; I can try to shoot some for you.

If I were looking for Miura photos of any kind the first person I would contact would be Joe Sackey, a member here. He and his wife (especially his wife) take some of the most breathtaking photos of cars I've ever seen. They focus primarily on staged photosets with exhaustive coverage of details, bringing out the uniqueness of each subject.

Or head over to the Showroom section, and have a look through some of the threads.

Look for Jason Thorgalson (sp?) photos, sometimes watermarked with the name, other times with "VOD Cars". His focus seems to primarily be candid "event" photos, but the quality of his photos is impeccable. Surf the internet for pictures of supercars for more than 10 minutes and you'll see his work and it will stand out. I know he has shot a Miura or two. He is a member here but I can't remember his username at the moment.

nthinfinity is another member here who does excellent automotive photography, a mixture of both staged sets and candids.

There are tons of other, excellent photographers , with different styles and techniques, so have a look around the Showroom section and PM those who's work you like.

Make sure you post the resulting image on glass!

There are some of our Miura images in here, and you can open up the files to large original size. Should be suitable for blow-up repro. If this is for non-commercial use for yourself personally, feel free to use what you like.

Ok - I'll admit I get anal about English and all that... those who've known me for a
couple years will attest to this.

So could a Mod PLEASE change the word in the subject to "panoramic" just to keep
me from going Monk on y'all?

"Lucy - you're driving my nuts" - Ricki "Jedi" Ricardo

    :D

ps - I do believe there is a sister thread to this with same egregious misspelling... :)

pps - GREAT PHOTOS, by the way.... yes, I get distracted. :D

    pps - HE started this:
