Paul will you be joining us for the next event? the website is www.highrollersrun.com You can see pics from the recent events Antony
sweet, it prob wont be for a little bit, but im seriously considering Georgetown Univ. along with Villanova and Loyola.
Hey is there anybody from NOVA going to this? I'm currently in Rochester but would love to fly home for this[I live in hampton roads, va]. I don't know D.C very well so I'd like to be with someone who's familiar with the area. My other partner in crime, who will remain anonymous, won't be making it to the event because he realized he had to put family first[Crazy i know!]
awww damn i cant wait to have an exotic....im sure my 350z wont work...haha...maybe ill just come to look at your amazing cars.
Antony, I am all bummed... I cannot make it...Prior comittments...But any following events, I will be there..Promise....I also wanted to metion to you the loyal following of Porsche guys. There are alot of them in the D.C. area. You should invite some of these guys. They are zealots just like the Ferrari guys, if not sometimes more. It would genreate more participants and even though many on here do not consider Porsche to be an outright exotic, there are some models and years that beg to differ. If you would like help in doing this, I would be more than happy to get out here and spread the word. Just let me in on the game. Paul
Do the Porsche guys have a lot of events in this area, and where can you find out about them??? I have looked around, but cannot find many events...btw, nice collection and welcome!
There are alot of Forums and bulliten boards to post this event. It just needs to be circulated. Paul
I would love to have more people come to our events. We need more calls and the one way of growing is for our members and friends to tell EVERYONE. We need to get more high end cars coming. I strongly belive that we have had some great events in our past and continue to throw great parties. I encourage everyone to tell there friends about HRR and what we do. Let me know also what we can do to make these better events!!!! Antony
Hey Cheech, a question about the HRR "Up In Smoke" event. If we drive the cool cars to the event, how long will the cars be guarded by the cops? I know the event is 9pm-11pm, but will all the f-ups leaving Camelot be unleashed onto the hoods of our cars at 11:01pm? Thanks, Chong
Good Question habi bee, first of all it's not going to look like Peel St on a Grand Prix weekend, so let's get that outta the way. However we have the street for entire evening however the Venue at Ozio's will commence till 11pm and then it goes from open to cash bar. Food will still be there and Cigar connection will attend to distribute a great Cigar for everyone. Police officers are on that street through the evening David K. aka Chong
Hi David, I'm not sure if I'll be back for this event. I want to understand the street parking issue. Is the whole street blocked off (closed) to traffic as well? So we will be able to park wide or is it just that only people from the event will be able to park along the side of the street? If I don't make it ----- have a blast!
Chong, I didn't word my question well...sorry! What times will cops be there to make sure that no booty juice from Camelot patrons drips onto my targa top? Does the guarded/secure parking end at 11pm? Thanks, Cheech
I believe the event flier specified that patrons could run *beside* cars as they did burnouts...not behind. So, although running behind would be considered "chasing", running along side would be considered "pacing". It can be just as much fun. Try it tonight... Cheech
Thanks for the clarification! Sometimes, I will "pace" cars for blocks. Last weekend I paced a 355 from Bethesda to Dragon Fly. That was fun.
Hey guys I see your question clearly now, opps yes traffic has to flow through I.E. ambulances, fire trucks, etc, by law, so the street isn't barracaded the spaces on the left side of the street and the rite side up to OZIO's will have EMERGENCY Parking permits signs on all the meters for ALL exotics. Police officers will be parked next to Ozio's during those times from 9ish and all the way through the evening. As for Burnout's I was thinking of doing an re-enactment of Montreal only problem is my 360 my fly into Camelot and get Go Go juice all over my hood, hahahahhahahahaahahha David K.
That was you? Where you wearing the red Ferrari Fila cross trainers? I noticed you at the Bradley Blvd and Route 355 light. You're first 30 meters are sorta sluggish, but your middle 40 are pretty quick. I would suggest a more compact crouch at the start for more explosiveness and a subscription to Forza...the car was a 348. Are you coming to the Ozio event? Tell us more about yourself. Cheech
