Could it actually be a teacher that gives a damn ?
We'll find out once the authorities are done with him.
This is why it pays not to care.
Lets just keep those grades up.

The fact that he didn't clear this with the P or VP is another reason for concern.

The teacher has clearly used poor judgment not getting approval first.

I am in law school and all our profs have our pics before class starts. I know there's a difference being your daughter is so young, but how old is the guy? He could just have the idea from some of his college classes that required him to have his picture taken. This was my original thought when I read the first post because there were several classes I had my picture taken in. Not to my surprise, but I think it would be to a lot who have posted here, the teachers who took our pics to get to know us were the best profs I have ever had. They actually cared to get to know each student in order to help them through the class.

The guy might just not have known he should clear the pics with the principle before taking them. If I was a teacher, I would not have even thought to ask the principle before doing this because it is not out of the ordinary for me; especially considering this is the technology age unlike when Peter was in high school. What makes me think this is not as suspect as you see it, the guy asked ALL the students to have their pictures taken. AND he told them beforehand...he did not just start snapping shots when they were not expecting it. By telling students beforehand, he is letting this information out in the public and is clearly not worried about others knowing he is doing this.

    All's well that ends well.

Fact is, Parents wouldn't have been creeped out if their Kids hadn't been creeped out. So, one for the Kids having sense to broach the subject with their folks.

Contact the teacher and ask him. Or else contact the head of the school and confirm with them that this is standard procedure.
