Hey guys my 95 spider is running kinda high on the temp. Only when im in traffic do I notice the temp creep up to almost red. As soon as I start cruising the temps fall to a more peace of mind 170. Any ideas on where I can start. The coolants we're checked and are normal.

My guess is your 355 has a fan that is not working. Stand outside each side of the car and see if both right and left fans are blowing air from the door duct. I would not recommend driving the car until you figure out what the problem is. Good luck.

I'll say the same. I blew a fuse on the left side and temps just kept creeping up in traffic. In high speed cruise, the F355 is very cool even when the fan didn't work.

Note, fuse for fans are in the footwell, 30 or 25amps.

Don't forget the book says only to start worrying above 239 F which I think is the mark where the red begins - if you live in a high ambient area your temperatures will be up currently especially if stationary - so it may be nothing but as noted check the fuses etc anyway

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago. The right side fan did not come on. Fuses were good so I removed the fan. Turned out that the fan blades were loose on the motor shaft and just spinning freely. Changed out fan, now no overheating.

You know that old fans are less efficient and draw more current which leads to blown fuses, right? It only gets worse from here. If the fuse keeps getting blown, you still need to change that fan.

+1 Search the threads here on Fchat to buy aftermarket Spal fans. They are the same as oem with the exception that you have to reuse the old connector. You will save big bucks this way. Good luck.

30102050 is the spal fan you want. It uses the factory plug and is a bolt in replacement. no need to switch out the plug.
