    Hello all,

I came across a V12 GTC4Lusso that is supposedly nearing 60,000 miles without any major issues!
    Comments?
Anyone having seen another Lusso with higher mileage? Any major mechanical issues?

    Thanks you.

Miles in itself dont say much on the wear and tear. 15,000 miles of city driving is definitely a lot worse on an engine than 60,000 on highway. The way you drive it, regular maintenance, waiting for the oil to be at temperature etc all play a bigger role than mileage itself.
In Europe, were people are less sensitive to mileage, you can see various cars above 50,000km (albeit I havent seen one at 100,000km = 60,000 miles) and the average for a Lusso is probably is the 25,000 to 35,000 km, so these cars get driven. Beside the PTU issue (which doesn't seem to affect too many models, and doesn't seem to be mileage related), those cars look pretty reliable.
If you intend on keeping the car and can get a good price out of it, you shouldnt worry as long as the maintenance is up to date.

Fully agree. Ferrari buyers seem so hung up on mileage and it can be difficult to sell a 'high' mileage car (e.g. 15k miles) even if it's say 5 - 7 + years old. I would much rather buyer a higher mileage one which has been used regularly than a low mileage garage queen. These V12 are sturdy, reliable units and not shy of miles.

I have a one year old 812 GTS which has 6,500 miles on it. I plan to add many more. I don't plan to ever sell it and will use it as much as I can. I'm pretty sure restrictions on usage for cars like this ( high C02 output) will ultimately be a limiting factor, rather than issues related to high mileage / too much use. I hope to be the first person in the world to require an engine rebuild on an 812 GTS due to high miles!!

If the price is right 60K miles wouldn’t bother me as long as there is regular maintenance

So it sounds like the Lusso is pretty reliable other than the PTU issue.
Since the factory warranty is 3 years, we must have a lot of people coming off their warranty.
If PTU fails out of the warranty period, especially when one is using it as a daily (with a separate weekend car), how costly would it be?
Is this why a lot of the Lusso owners are trading in their car after 3 years?

PTU can be rebuilt by a few shops for around $10k. New one from Ferrari dealer is $30-40k

From my brief research, only one shop offering this service in the UK actually improves the design on the replaced parts to further reduce possibility of future failure. I don’t believe GTE uses improved parts.

Which shop is this? I'm guessing the Ferrari dealerships won't install these parts for you if you brought them in. Also, this may void their warranty if there is still some left.

Correct, Ferrari will not install the repair kit. Only an Indy would be able to.

There was a Lusso for sale in Germany a couple of months ago with 110-120k km on the clock but it seems to be sold now...

How much was it listed for? Was it sold as a certified car with Ferrari warranty?

It was for sale for quite a while, first listed at €129k then lowered to 119. It was at an independent dealer.

My FF has 96k km on the clock now. No issues so far. Also the previous owner did not have anything major. PTU is still fine and even the leather is still fine. I will drive this car all the way up to 200k km like it is a Mercedes. After that I will probably buy a Lusso or an 812 for daily driving.

A friend sold his FF 2 years ago with close to 150,000kms…zero problems and the Lusso from what I hear is even more reliable. I did 10,000km in mine so I dont have personal experience of big mileage, but the car was incredibly straightforward to own…

    That

Amazing! Hope to reach 150k km in a few years too

How did the interior look after the 150k km?

Has anyone here ever heard of an FF doing over 150k km?
