Most people try to keep the options and price to a minimum that's liveable or desired. But this ought to be fun trying for maximum. Let's see (not sure which MY these prices but I think 2011, possibly 2012) base plus non-duplicative options:
    Base - $200,290
Out of production paint color - $8,973
    Bi-color exterior - $12,000
    Shields - $1,589
    Magnaride - $5,268
    Heated windscreen - $695
    Carbon - fiber trunk panel - $1,945
    - rear diffuser - $7,944
    - front spoiler - $5,674
    - engine compartment covers - $8,430
    Front sensors - $1,515
    Rear camera - $3,566
    AFS - $1,864
    Electrochrm. mirrors, inside/outside and homelink - $1,459
    20" diamond finish wheels - $4,555
    color calipers - $1,287
    yellow tach - $746
    hi-fi stereo - $5,188
    iPod - $908
    Full electric seats - $5,350
    Daytona seats - $3,404
    rear to match - $1,297
inserts for Daytona seats - $868
    color piping - $891
    color stitching - $462
    stitched Cavallino headrest - $1,265
    colored seat belts - $826
carbon fiber zone with LED wheel - $6,971
carbon fiber upper zone - $5,836 (not sure if this is duplicative or not with the above)
carbon fiber lower cabin - $7,619
    carbon fiber bridge - $4,863
carbon fiber door panels - $5,836
carbon fiber interior kick panel - $1,783
    Aluminum footrests - $811
    Alcantara mats - $2,480
    color dash - $1,028
    color for A pillars/arch - $1,028
color request for steering wheel - $462
color request for tunnel - $891
color request for armrest - $567
color request for headliner - $4,053
dual color interior with Daytona - $5,674
    Alcantara luggage carpets - $2,107
    luggage set, trunk - $6,403
luggage set, rear bench - $3,307
    fire extinguisher - $602
spare wheel kit - $1,442 (most would omit if you get runflats but what the heck)
runflat tires - $2,821 (ride is probably not as good, but what the heck)
dedication plate in silver! - $5,567
    TOTAL - $360,410
(Found price for cruise control - add $1,078 to the above.)

Hopefully, I keyed my calculator right. Most of us California owners drive bargains compared to this. Anyone know what an intelligently optioned 458 spider goes for?

I think you forgot the most expensive option of all which is the "tri-colour" paint as Rosso Fuoco and similar. If I remember right I wanted it on my bi-colour car and they quoted £15,000 for it....

Anyway now with the Tailor Made Division apparently you can go up to $1,000,000 in specs on your car!!!

It's not the luggage that is alcantara but only the carpet in the boot that is in alcantara instead....;-)

Also depends which country you're in. In the UK for example we have VAT (sales tax) at 20%. And in some countries they have a 'luxury tax' which can be as much as 75%. What's the deal in the US?

In the uk there is also first year road tax of £1000 before it reverts to £400. Standard specs also differ - when I got a new Cali in 2010 full electric heated seats were standard in the uk.

China, India and Australia have an import duty of 100% plus. I live in Ireland and kept my Cali and now 458 in Scotland. The import duty here is 36% of they price the government says it is worth and not the straight €£ conversion. That means the import duty would be near £140k on my 458!

The 2012 California Demo at the Auto Gallery is $275k and no carbon fiber steering wheel. Ouch!

At that price get a 458 well optioned.

There is a Nero Cali sold by LFSC which had an MSRP over $300k. I'm not going to list the owners name, as he is a private man, but it was a stunning car.
