I'm wondering if anyone knows the name of the company who makes high end very detailed models.

The kid you put together, I've seen them around the net but not for a long time. I think they were from England, maybe Italy.
They were detailed to the point where you put in carpet, fabric for the seat belts etc. Far more than the average plastic kit.

Hope someone knows what I'm talking about.

Yep, Pocher. Models are all NLA as the factory burned down some time ago in Italy, but unbuilt model kits do come on the market from time to time.

I occasionally get a Pocher kit in, though I'm sold out at the moment. PM me if you are looking for a specific car.

Pocher most likely. Although none came with any real carpeting, they can be works of art if done properly. My company manufactures hundreds of upgrades for the Pocher Ferraris and classics.

They are neither well made, nor very detailed, considering their size. For those models to be made to look good (the Ferraris) one needs to pretty much scratch build half the car all over. Or in the best case substitute half the model with aftermarket parts.

That is exactly why I started Scaledetails in 1990. Those were my exact thoughts about the Pocher Ferraris, so I spent years creating and designing ways to improve all their kits, and I haven't had a slow day since! I love my job!!!

    Yep that's the one. Cheers.
I have many years super detailing kits, mostly Naval and sci-fi and wooden ships.
I haven't built a car kit or a kit that isn't weathered to some degree for a very long time.
So I figured I may as well go all out if this is going to be a one or two car build.
I have seen adds for some nice F1 white metal kits from Italy but I remembered the Pocher kits.

I would like to build a GT4 and a GTS. No sure if the GT4 was ever made. But it would be cool to go along with my real one :)

I don't mind scratch building parts or major repairs if these kits aren't that great.
    Any other suggestions to Porcher?

    Cheers

I am the only Poche kit dealer left in the US. Feel free to email with your needs. Pocher only sold 2 Ferraris in various colors, the Testarossa (Agnelli spider and coupe) and F40.
Sadly, the F50 was to come out just before the factory burned down.
