^^^ is that beaver run? I used to race there back when it first opened... I tested out the track, we held the BMW CCA race there 10 years ago followed by GTS-3 ... In fact I bought my 1 of 120 BMW M3 Lightwight/CSL back in 2002 from track owner Tim Silbaugh and he was telling me plans for that track, foundation drawings etc. I was in my mid 20's at the time and started sports car racing competitively right around then. It was very cool to see that place develop and then eventually bring my race car there and log an overall race win and lap record at the time w BMW CCA.
WOW! Sensory overload. Too much beauty ; ) Indeed it is - the former Beaverun. I understand it went bankrupt 1-2 times. It is now owned by the same people/group? as VIR. They are building the south track right now. I legitimately think it has a chance to be one of the best tracks in the US with the combined North+South track. The elevation changes are already substantial as you know, and the new track looks amazing. We'll see; they also need to get a new surface on the North track in areas. I'm a little sad to see the small-track atmosphere go, but also excited for all the new facilities and events that are sure to follow. Nice! The CSL is a legend. I own and run a modified E92 M3 there as well. Also a BMWCCA member. Also just starting to get into racing after a decent amount of track time. Going to Skip Barber formula school in January and March : ) You should get back over here when the new track opens this summer! I will trade drives/rides in the Scud for the CSL : )))))))
