Every time I see someone calling "she" to a Ferrari is someting that makes me feel some conflicting feelings. You guys change your impossibility of having a proper women and spend your money on cars just to say "Oh look at she, I'm the handsomer guy of the hood"? Sure some of you are the same who know anything of ferrari history. What are you doing wearing the ferrari badges on your cars if some of you will never step on a circuit?

Ah, and I am not wanting to offend anyone, eh? But I am just laughing right now.

Did I have been answered for those who call their cars "shemales" or..? Come on I'm interested on your "Trump" comments.

I am with you GPM. No she, not a marriage with my car at Las Vegas. But it is difficult to me to understand that kind of things, I am sorry.

We can call some Italians to the chat, I would be interested too in their opinions.

I believe the correct Spanish response translates as:

    "Ay!!! The Carinena!"

(Carinena being a notoriously smooth, easy drinking red wine, often resulting in overindulgence and headaches the following day.)

I think he is saying that people who call ther cars she, do so because the car is the hottest thing they can get, unlike say a real man who gets such hot women they would never feel the need to call their car a she.

The last part is about the poseur label because some put sheilds on their street cars, whereas in reality sheilds were for race cars and are now just an $1800 pose upgrade.

So really two insults. 1 calling your car she because you can never geta woman as hot as your car, and 2. puttign sheilds on your car to calimg false race connections.

In the first I woudl say that callign car she, has some old english connection to ships so may be correct language usage and not a good translation to spanish, hence the confusion, plus I know of no one who calls their car she.

As to the second, yep sheilds in my book marks one out as a wanabe

Sailors, pilots, have always referred to their vessels, aircraft, by female gender.
I must say that referring to my BB as a "he" sounds a bit weird and about as comfortable as hessian underpants.

Calling a car a she sounds awkward in Spanish. Not in Italian though.

I guess we should stick to German where it is gender neutral.

As for the OP not clue what he's trying to say or why this is in the Track / Driver Ed subforum.

She what what with a what what??? And what does tracking a car have to do with its gender?

I have zero clue as to what you're trying to say. A famous line by Samuel L. Jackson from the Pulp Fiction movie come to mind here...

Anyways. Cars have always been female. Sure grammar wise some places are neutral etc. but on an emotional level, they are female - just like boats. Referring to my car or boat as he is to me a bit like referring to my wife as he. And no, never gonna play that field mate.
