    Hi chaps,

I’m hoping someone might be able to help. I just picked up a Hilfiger Cashmere jacket and the only reference I can find to such a thing is an ancient post on here.

It’s a dark navy bomber style with zip handwarmer pockets and a shield on the left breast and Hilfiger ribbon logo on the right.

It’s 100% cashmere of quite a light weight and is, I have to say, beautiful.

It came from a Phillip Morris exec who was given it at a Grand Prix by the team.

Any ideas on if such a thing were commercially available, or would it be purely a team/promo item?

    Lousy photos below.

    TIA,

    Rich

Morry at Collector Studio may have more info......

That is REAL F1 Team Gear stuff, as Tommy Hilfiger supplied the crew uniforms for many years, before FILA and now the current PUMA.

You are exactly correct in it's origin, distribution would have been at the 'Team Principles only' level...Schumacher probably has one too!

    Current value?

    *shrugs shoulders*

    At least it's warm!!!!

That's the real crew shirt, (photo above) from the same TH period.

NO, not commmercially available.....never...no where (except thru Morry or someone like JMJ Automobilia). They had acess to the crew, who would sell to the opne market at year end.

But, no, they were never available retail, so 'expensive' is the word, for items like that.

Nice to know, except it may stop me wearing it..

Are we talking 10's of bucks or a hundred or two?

    $1,000USD to $1200USD, maybe..

I have several of the two piece winter coats, with full patches and a matching zip out vest, I paid $1200 to 1500USD and that was years ago.
Hard to say if it goes "up" or 'down' from there!!!

    But wear it proudly!
If you put it on a hanger the bugs will get it in the closet.....just don't wipe pizza grease on it....:D :D :D

Morry will chime in, or check with Marie at JMJ, they are in Jupiter Florida.

I even put the crew shirts on my kids........life is short.
    They outgrew them years ago.....

LOL! The dry cleaners will "know what to do"......

I wouldn't save it....the "TH Years" are so long ago now, in the current flow of celebrity.
Someone might stop and ask, but that will date them also!

Those young blonds are now 19, and in college.....

I was quoting prices "when new".....Morrys log in here is his shop, CollectorStudio...send him a PM if he does not chime in to the thread.
He had the matching luggage pieces, for a while......

Okay I'm chiming in. Back in 2000 it would have been worth $1000ish. Today about $350-$450.

    Wear it in good health.

Tommy Hilfiger grew up in Elmira, NY, down the road so to speak from Watkins Glen. He was a F1 fan as a kid. (He had a retail clothing and jeans store called People's Place in the early 70's that started his career).
