Just a fyi...I normally post these things earlier, but I have been slammed. Sorry.

    Fellow Drivers,

The May run was a ton of fun in the sun. ;)

Well for the June run, we are cooling things down a bit in order to give our temperature gauges a rest. This time around we are going to be doing a sunset cruise and wind down in town with some entertainment. This drive will take us through the southwest part of town with safe and relaxing roads in order for us to arrive at the Austin Pizza Garden at Sunset for food and some private viewing of “Top Gear” episodes via projection.

Sounds pretty relaxing and cool doesn’t it? Perfect for a hot June month? You bet. This will be a relatively short summer run so feel free to invite those friends who have wanted to come before but just didn’t have the time.

Hope to see you all there! Details below:

    When:
    Date: Sat, June 17th
    Time: 5:30pm (6pm leave)

    Where:
    Starting Place:

Bank One/Chase parking lot in the Arboretum (This is across from our normal Starbuck’s meeting place due to parking issues in the evening).

    Dinner:

    Austin Pizza Garden

Things you might want to bring:

    Full tank of gas
    Snack/fluid for during the drive
    Camera
    Talk radio
    Cell-phone

Thanks for putting this together guys! Grayson, thanks for the ride.
It was a smaller turn out than usual, but there were definitely some cool cars.

The Z06 is bad azz! So is the M6.

In about an hour all of my photos from today will be available at www.TifosiPhotography.com in the "Automotive Events" section. Direct link: http://texasmike.fotki.com/automotive-1/automotive_events/hill_country_drives-1/hill_country_drive/

Since I didn't take many photos today, I'm uploading them all in hi-res. Just click on the link under each photo to get the hi-res copy.

    Sweet pics like always Mike!

From looking at it and seeing it run, what would you pick the M6 or the M5?

To me the M6, just looks to CLS/645 ish...and those never got to me...

I like the M6 a lot better! The M5 doesn't do it for me. I like the speed and torque, but that's it. I do like the styling on the M6 and the 645s. The interior on the M6 had a lot of carbon fiber and it looks more sporty than the M5, inside and out. The roof is unpainted carbon fiber. I'm a sucker for carbon fiber! :)

BTW, I just really don't like 4 doors these days, so that's the main reason why I like the M6 better.

The Z06 plates read NFSMW...does it happen to stand for Need For Speed: Most Wanted?? I just had to ask... :)

Not sure... I couldn't figure it out.
I rode in the blue Viper and then the Z06. Both are very cool cars. I was pretty impressed with the Z06, it's has a lot of cool techno devices.
