Will - thanks for posting this article. Folks - note that it is one of a series. Links at bottom of Will's linked site lead to other recollections.
Remember one thing from Hill's article, Williams had the hardest time adapting to a Passive car since they had been the innovators of Active Suspension from 92. Also in 94 Schumacher never passed Senna on the track only in the pits at Brasil and Senna tried his hardest to catch up and spun the car. Now look at the 93 McLaren with the Customer Ford V8 vs. the Benetton Factory Ford V8 performance vs. the FW15 Williams, did Schumacher make that much progress from 93 to 94? Is it possible that the Combination or illegal Fuel System in the Benetton did wonders for the Pit stops (remember the fuel fire of the 94 Hockeneim race)? Also the FIA confiscated the ECU you from the Benetton after Imola, what did they find a Program for Traction Control and Launch Control. Just my 2 cents, judging by how Williams at their peak was getting trumped by the Benetton Ford V8.
