Russ- Great looking airplane and that Hispano-Suiza engine, and its Viper relatives, sounds great. Direct predecessors of the Ferrari V-8s with flat, 180 deg crankshafts. The 90 degree crankshafts on most modern V8s did not come into use until the 20s and were not common until the late 40s and early 50s.

Interesting chirping noise the propeller makes. Very pronounced.
I have heard it on some modern aircraft but not as prominent as this one.
I recall hearing the Avro 504 and Sopwith at Abbotsford decades ago, no chirp there.

Is this due to pitch and chord combination?

Man that is beautiful. Would love to see it...or to fly it. I imagine that chirping sound could come from the lift wires that run from the wing root to mid-span of the upper wing. Okay Russ. We're waiting.
