Just looking through my book shelf and came acorss a yacht magazine from 1983 (first ever edition of Boat International, which is still going.)

An intersing article on watches and thought people might be interested in the prices being quoted:
    - Rolex Oyster Cosmograph daytona £613
    - Nautilus £2,200
    - Corum Admirals Cup £2,200
    - Hublot MDM Geneva £3,300
    - AP Royal Oak Day Date £4,500.

Interesting to see how some have remained timless in style (pardon the pun) whilst the price has done soemthing else!
