a_request_for_Claudio-Z. What-were-you-referring-to-as-'Miura-Evolution'-in-your-preface-for-Sackey's-book? Could-you-further-explain-what-was-it-meant-to-be;it's-characteristics,stage-of-development-when-it-was-stopped;engineers-involved-...-etc...? Many-thanks;sorry-it's-out-of-this-topic;and-sorry-for-my-keyboard-problems,too. david.
David, thank you for asking! To explain the whole thing it would take more then a little chat on this forum! But just a brief details, on the early 1970 I did handed all the changes that I put together to the new Lamborghini factory owner. Which I strongly considered necessary, to update the Miura SV without going to stop the Miura production line. (the result the gap from the Miura and the replacement new coming Countach it took four years!!!) The changes consisted mechanical, exterior (without much changes on the original SV styling) interior, and so on, and the new abbreviation SVE (Super Veloce Evoluzione) From an understandable internal management the project died. I still have all the documentation that for so many years I wonted to develop! But . Ciao Claudio
Dear Claudio, thank you very much!!! The 'SVE' subject is extremely interesting to me. In the past, I had some conversation with people at Lamborghini which had really nice words regarding your capabilities and involvement. Since I heard you in a little video telling about the real pitty that halting the Miura production was, I had the suspiction that you wouldn't remain with arms crossed regarding that. The proof to my suspiction was the very brief reference you made in the preface for the Miura book. I also know that Ferruccio regreted very his decission when he wanted to recover the company from Rossetti-Leimer; the Nuccio insisted him on producing 'the last 50' before he sold shares to Rossetti... One most beloved image of my is the one in which you are together with Ferruccio and Gandini, at Campogalliano, for the Bugatti factory inauguration. It is such a honour for me to write you! Please, if you would like to further comment of those old days subjects, like Miura SVE, here I am, eager for your words!!! Tantissimi cari auguri!! d.
Claudio, weren't you also in Sammy Hagar's video for "I can't drive 55"! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esdifY67SxE
Yes I did the entire stunts in that video . FUN...FUN...FUN The day before, driving the BB from San Francisco, I got clocked at 176 Mph police was all over me with helicopter and squads of police cars!!! But I did not get arrested strange coincident there is more behind this video
Sorry to venture further off topic, but... I'd heard that it was you who introduced Sammy Hagar to Eddie Van Halen...right in your own shop?
Caro VECCHIO! You are right I did and I am very proud of it! It look like that you know much about Edward,Sammy and me connection! Ciao, Claudio
Wow, there is a whole lot of wrong going on in that ad... "Cizeta V12 Ferrari ex Sultan of Brunei By 1990 Pininfarina Prototype"... crazy.
yes I do! But, is been CANNIBALIZED so badly that it cannot be brought to the original standard, unless you change the frame, gas tanks, suspensions, wheels, transaxle, dashboard, all the instrument, interior, many body panels and lots of other important items which means it will cost more then to build a new one! This CORPSE it will be very difficult to sale, and it should be demolished. Nothing wrongs with the Ferrari TR engine, except that the characteristic of the Boxer configurations it forces to have a negative center of gravity. Analogy you dont mix a prime good vine with good water! (Both are destroyed) it's very upsetting, and hard to comprehend why somebody, in this exotic car fields, can destroy such work of hart without remorse. One day, I would like to know who really did this horrible mutilation .
ciao claudio e un grande piacere i have the video of u in the australian sixty minutes documentary with the cizeta u say in an interview u have gasoline in yr blood. haha If u ever come to australia id luv to meet u and show u around Paolo
ouch....i did not know it was so ruined.... it is gone mi dispiace veramente vedere una cizeta persa per sempre....è un vero peccato Emilio p.s. saluti da Crevalcore!
Sorry to disagree but if the all Cizeta was built with a Ferrari engine...they will have been 100 times better. This car was part of the Sultan Brunei cars who found his way to Pininfarina and they remove the V16
lol... Are you an automotive systems engineer? Wow. The Cizeta is a special car largly because of the engineered 16 cylinder powerplant
Correction .. the characteristic of the Boxer engine configurations it forces to have a negative center of gravity I should have written only for the application with the transmission bellow the engine block! Sorry .
Claudio, I dug out an older magazine today, and read through a wonderful article of you and the Cizeta with Sports Car International from Oct. 1990... In the article, it mentions that you saw 9200 rpm when the engine was on the dyno; and that the engine in the white test car saw over 50,000 miles on it at that point. What kind of troubles did you go through to get a v16 balanced, and reliable like that?
...With that white prototype I test drove: in Italy, Dead Valley California around 70,000 Km. without any problem at all Thats why I give five years or 50,000 miles full warranty! To explain how id did use your imagination...... And for you Mr. OLCZYK you should get some education about building or to know about exotic sport cars you must be some kind of M And for my Paesano Emilio Ciao saluti a tutti I Crevalcoresi!
Hey Claudio, i realise this is probably not high on your priority list, but are you at all interested in ever having a diecast company make a 1/18 cizeta? i know many model collectors would love to see one. Do you have any plans to license the cizeta to a diecast company, say autoart or Kyosho? or has a diecast company ever approached you to model the car? Its the number one model on my wish list, i just hope that one day you will feel compelled to get the car made in diecast. what are your thoughts?? Thanks Alan W
Awesome!! I'll be out in Calif in a few months, i'd like to stop by and meet you if that would be ok..... Koyne
