Anyone know the history on this car?...
Anyone know the history on this car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-Ferrari-355-Spider_W0QQitemZ320169224975QQihZ011QQcategoryZ6212QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Its not in the 355 Registry. Apparently started life in TX, then registered to PA, then to MA with an owner that may have kept it in Florida. I don't know whether to like the low miles or fear it. Thanks, -Aron
What is to fear? Dealer serviced, and they are selling it, so you should be confident they will stand behind it. Plan on a set of new exhaust manifolds around 17k to 20k miles. Other than that, drive and enjoy!
I like how it is listed as a 4 cylinder 5 speed. From a Ferrari dealer I would expect them to know it's a 6 speed 8. Anyone else have the 4 cylinder 5 speed option. "Standard Equipment: 4 Cylinder, 5 speed "
6spd or F1? Is it listed anywhere? Obviously there are a host of considerations to place a value on a car... condition, mileage, service history, upgrades, etc. I mean, at first glance $79k could be a steal for a 99. But if its a ratty car in need of major service and clutch with 28k on the clock in snow country it could be a hard car for the seller to move for a while. I found a 99 earlier this year with 17k miles advertised for $85k. (Seller wanted 70-75 for it.) But it had been wrecked, repo'ed, robbed of an passenger airbag, broken headlight, other misc. issues. The best I could say about it, was that it sounded great with the Capristo exhaust.
