Can anyone help me to provide some history for this car. It's a 328GTB, modified by the addition of twin turbos, flared arches, bigger brakes and wheels, and various other body enhancements. I am told the turbos and engine mods were done by Nigel Mansell racing, and the bodywork by Maranello. The car is exciting to drive, and I want it, but I am concerned about the usage of the car since it was modified. Can anyone shed light on when the mods were done?

I know in the late 80's there were a lot of this type of Turbo modifcations made both by Mansell cars also by Koenig, not sure on the bodywork as the koenig ones I have seen were really in your face body mods, lovely looking car though, are you worried about reliability/around town use, out of interest what are they asking for it

my recollection is hte mods were done ome considerable time ao, maybe in the late 80's/early 90's. The car has come up for sale a number of times since 1997 my 1st yr of Ferrari ownership) and has been up for sale for sometimes long periods of time. I'll see if I can find any more details

Of no use to you whatsoever...but...it looks nice in that photo - got any more shots of it? Is it a Macari car per chance?

    All the best

Do you have any more info? For example, a reg or, better, a chassis number. I can't look it up otherwise.

It comes up for sale quite regularly - you might want to ask Emblem in Dorset(whose team may have built it) or I think the Reeders in Pewsey may have sold it once before

Thank you everybody for your responses. I have found out a little more about the car. It was apparently shunted early in its life (1st regd '89) and the bodywork was done by Maranello during the repair phase.

Yes the car is with Joe Macari, the inside is like new, and the paintwork is very shiny. The car is reasonably priced, but with the history of the car not having any provenance, I was concerned about future resale, so I chickened out. It drives beautifully though!
