Stalin also saved some fabric, purportedly from the suicide couch. While the Russians (this was after the break-up of the Soviet Union) did not allow DNA testing, the skull fragment and blood sample were found to be from a women. There was a small caliber bullet wound near the temporal region of the skull; however it was reported that Ava only used a cyanide capsule, while Hitler used by cyanide and shot himself. He was afraid that the methamphetamine-induced, Parkinsoian-like shaking would cause him to move his hand at the last moment and he would only wound himself. Perhaps Hitler shot her before killing himself.

On a more serious note, the synopsis of the original FBI documents essentially says it's all rumours. "claims...information...unable to be verified.. attempts negative..." - a lot of hot air.

Edit: Reading further, there are 203 pages on the FBI site. Random letters from people claiming to have seen Hitler, one from a businessman who claims to have spotted him in a Hotel in Quebec. The one thing I didn't see is, as claimed in the article, that the FBI had evidence that Hitler was in Argentinia.

Actually it was possible, as Albert Speer was able to fly into Berlin, get to the bunker and tried persuading Hitler to go with him. He made it back to his plane and safely flew out of Berlin.

 

i like conspiracy theories like this.

the thing that bothers me with the whole story is that there are no dna certified remnants of hitler's body. the skull fragments have now turned out not to be his. so where is the body?
