I thought this was debunked when I was in high school in the 70's. Plenty of Nazis went to South America, but Hitler wasn't among them. The problem with conspiracies is, there are people involved, and very few people can keep secrets, especially secrets of this magnitude.

New evidence has emerged well after the 70's , such as the skull fragments the Russians had were shown to be that of a young girl, and not Eva's.

The Germans have used DNA and dental records to confirm his death.

Again, he killed Ava and then killed himself in his bunker on April 30, 1945. His body was taken outside his bunker and placed in a newly-dug ditch. It was covered with 50 gallons of gas and burned. The few remains included a portion of the skull and his jaw--both mandible and maxilla.

The pieces which did not burn were placed in a box and buried in Magdeburg. Ava's remains as well as Goebbels and his family were buried there too.

Later the soviets decided to make sure the site would never be a shrine, so they ordered further burning and scattering of the remains.

What was left was a piece of Hitler's jaw, which had this unusual bridge work.

German and Soviet accounts confirm his death. The jaw confirms his death.

That's more or less the story I've heard. What I was wondering is if there was something new and credible to refute any of this. I have that chap on ignore because I believe he's something of a conspiracy type - 9/11 I believe? Maybe his post here is more of the same?

The only reason I mentioned this is someone referenced the post as evidence of new "facts" I had "missed" which was inaccurate. Preemptively ignored would be the proper term. I choose to not engage with known zealous conspiracists.

I was working in DC on 09/11. I didn't see the plane hit the Pentagon, but I saw the mushroom cloud rise up from the site out of my office window. I was working for FEMA at the time, and so our info was pretty good: The aircraft basically fell short, hit the ground, AND THEN went into the Pentagon. The tarps over the hole in the outer wall were visible for many weeks.

That was a very strange day.
