Well, it was my birthday yesterday so I should really treat myself with a fchat subscription, eh! I was wondering about the Maser MCV. As only 180 were made and most of them were painted blue, how many were produced in other colours? Must make the red one on the previous page a ridiculously rare spot.

That red MCV can drive any road on the southside by autopilot and at a pretty good clip I might add. Not so many sidewalks in that part of town. I see the red MCV parked in some pretty exclusive carparks where golf, swimming and eating are the main activities
Thanks! In the Porsche capital of the world, how about some Porkers that aren't all just standard 911's, Boxsters and Cayennes... I just saw an unregisterd silver McMerc SLR trailered on a flat bed in Causeway Bay / Tin Hau. First I've seen in HK. Shame I broke my camera last week. Maybe a sign to get a new one!?
Yes, a very clean example too. Whether it be body modifications, uncommon colours or rarer models, here are some more unusual Ferraris I've seen around... - F430 (Pre-Scud wannabe) - Real McCoy (Who was the Real McCoy btw and why did somebody claim to be him?) - 575 SA - 360 (Lip spoiler and carbon CS mirrors) - F430 Spider and 360 (A couple of sexy redheads) - 360 (GTC bits and bobs) - 599 (Not sold on the burgundy) - 575 SA (Different to the first - Any ideas as to the numbers in HK? I've seen at least 4 different ones; 2 red, 1 yellow, 1 black) - 360 (Lovely example in white with CS mirrors) - 360 CS (Baaaaadass in black) - 599 GTB (Uncommon because it's a night-time photo that I took that didn't come out blurred!) - F430 (Novitec Matte edition or something. Whatever, Bruce Wayne should sell the Murcie!) - 456M (I'm not saying I have the best taste, but I do think this car needs rescuing) - 360 CS (Can you see the Porsche blushing?!) I know where you're coming from, but if it is (by all accounts) a standard 360 at heart, I find it's GT series test-mule image pretty brutal looking. I'd go with a stripped interior, rollcage, BBS LM's and a low-profile 360 GTC wing instead. The 456 is just plain sad. Those corner splitters on the front look like something ordered from a high street auto-accessories catalogue. I've seen them on a thousand Cavaliers, Novas and Escort Cossies in England. The 456 is the last contemporary F-car you'd want to bolt 'performance' body mods on to! And that spoiler... well. It could be worse though, I've seen a couple of other 456's getting about with GT-Wings on. Ouch! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Although 456 is not my all time favourite Ferrari, 456 is still a nice looking exotic car, I do not see the reason for adding a GT style spoiler on it. By the way, you guys spot the modern Ferrari alot (i.e 360, 430, 599, 612 etc), how about the old classic ones (i.e 308, 328, 412 etc) and the Koenig 308, 328s? Are they still curising around Hong Kong alot?
Sorry very very boring stuff... took them on the way to the personalize plates auction on Saturday. Thought the SL55 and C63 together was quite cool. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice shot. I'd take either! Couple of thoughts on both cars while we're at it. First, just how many C63's are there on the roads right now?! I've been almost run over by two this week! AMG have nailed the engine note on that car, I'll never tire of that biblical V8 rumble. The other observation is this. We all see a good number of SL55's on our roads, but how come there are barely any SL65's around? I have only ever seen 2, a white one and a silver one both up on The Peak. Maybe I've just been unlucky. The other thing is, how come the new-shape SL doesn't appear to be on HK roads yet. With the massive popularity of the outgoing car one would think the new one would be selling like hotcakes. I've seen one in Kowloon Bay near the service/tuning shops, but I think (it was a fleeting glimpse) it was on dealer plates.
There are quite a lot of C63 out there, my friend just got his in Silver. You would think that Silver is a boring color for that car; but it actually looks rather special! White C63 has become too saturated and getting boring. I've only seen one facelift SL in black around repulse bay once and I have never seen the facelift SLK... weird indeed.
I've seen the facelift SLK once, i think it was white but i still have not seen the new SL which i think looks quite cool. I would not be surprised that people are not buying up the new SL because it just looks too similar to the old one, interior wise almost the same, exterior front looks great but the sides and rear look basically the same. We don't know if this is just a face lift or if its a replacement OR when MB will fully replace the SL with an entirely new model.
Agreed, the white C63 looks like the standard C with 63 wannabe AMG kit that you often see around. Silver is traditional and classy and always suits a Merc no matter which model, IMO. Your friend chose well. it is just a facelift isn't it? To keep it more inline with the other big sporty Merc the gorgeous CLS. 2010 is the replacement year isn't it??
Well the R230 SL has actually been facelifted once from its introduction in 2002, i think it was 2007 when it was facelifted so i originally thought the current one was a replacement but a half-assed one at that. If MB introduces another SL in 2010 i would not be surprised if owners all over the world not just in HK would pass and wait for the new one. Buying a brand new car and having a replacement model introduced just 2 years later would not be a good decision, especially when you see how many 2002-2007 SL's there are on the market that will never sell unless discounted heavily.
That's exactly what I originally thought. I was initially suprised when I saw the current version online as I thought 'Wouldn't there be a bit more fuss if there was an all new car to replace the R230?'. I realised it was visually quite literally just a facelift when I saw the profile and rear of the 'new' SL, I was disappointed that it appeared almost exactly the same as the previous one. I wonder how the facelift will effect the prices of used R230's and further down the line, the already reasonably priced, R129's? Anyhoo, back on topic. Here are some more rare colour / limited production Fcars from our streets... - 550 Barchetta - T'other one - 575 Superamerica - Scag (Not enough of these in red!) - F430 (Yellow anchors and a blue deeper than the ocean) - F430 Spider (Interesting colour combo here - not my taste) - F456 GT (Not an obvious choice for a 456, but I like it) - F456 GT (Anyone know what this colour is? Matching split-rims too) - F360 (Rare blue) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sometimes i forget just how many exotic cars there are in this tiny country of ours. Thanks for the new pics RWP
