    Gov't is changing the rule on classic car importation from 20yr to 30 yr

    New guideline dated today ( 24 Aug ) and to be effective on Sept 1, 2009 :

    Only cars over 30 yrs old ( as compare to 20 yrs in the old guideline )will be exempted from emission test.

    This will be a big blow for those who is shipping a classic back to HK. Here's the link to the new guideline. I know HKAA and the classic car clubs in HK is going to discuss this with the gov't
