I'd really appreciate any recommendations regarding a tailor in HK.

I live in Australia and I'm paying the equivalent of $HK18-20,000 for suits and about $HK2,000 for shirts. This is for quality tailored garments, but not top of the range. Going down a step to off-the-rack, still with decent quality fabric and workmanship is costing about half that.

I'm not much of a shopper, but travel enough to know thats expensive.

I know many of you appreciate quality cars and watches (amongst other things) and would be really pleased if you are willing to offer any personal recommendations for suits, shirts and ties in HK.

Do any HK tailors travel to Australia? There's a company: http://www.raja-fashions.com/ who come to the UK and measure you then make your suits, shirts, etc in HK and send them to you. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that they travel to Australia, but I'd have thought someone else would...

I had some shirts made at Sam's tailors in Kowloon. Good quality, cheap ($50 a shirt) and great service. They had a shirt sent to my hotel that night to make sure it fit right, then I just rang them to give the go-ahead.

I'm sure you could find more expensive tailors, but for the money you'll do well at Sam's
